Hosted by the Chicago-Midwest Chapter | 6 LUs and 6 Credits toward the Certificate in Classical Architecture
This course introduces the vocabulary of classical architecture through freehand drawing. Our class will begin with an overview of the five canonical orders and the essential moldings that comprise classical architecture. Participants will then learn to lay out the Tuscan column, entablature, and pediment as described by Vignola, a Renaissance architect. The class will culminate in the drawing of a Tuscan temple façade.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website, or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
