Hosted by the Northern California Chapter | 4 AIA/CE LUs and 4 Credits Toward the Certificate in Classical Architecture
This one-day course provides an introduction to the vocabulary of classical architecture through free-hand drawing. Students will learn how to draw the classical moldings and then study the Ionic order by laying out an Ionic column, entablature, and pediment. The class will conclude with a sketch problem, which combines the above elements to create a facade of a small building. Proportion, traditional construction techniques, and ornamentation will also be discussed.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website, or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
