Hosted by the ICAA Southeast Chapter
The Atlanta Botanical Garden (ABG) is undertaking its most ambitious project to date with its current 8.8-acre expansion. This new urban oasis will occupy a newly acquired parcel adjacent to the Atlanta Beltline making the ABG the first cultural institution in the city to have a presence on the burgeoning open space corridor. Drawing inspiration from gardens across the globe and envisioned as a contemporary homage to historical garden design practices, the Atlanta Botanical Garden Expansion merges formal and informal design motifs into a collection of interconnected outdoor rooms, each designed to offer a distinct sensory encounter. The new garden will be a realm of wonder, reflection, and inspiration, blending the splendor of nature with the force of creativity into a sublime experience for all those who visit
Join Rob Gray, principal at Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects, who is leading the design team of the garden to learn more about this ambitious project and how it will enrich the community by connecting people with plants and the natural world.
