Hosted by the Southern California Chapter
Judson Studios is a fine arts studio specializing in stained glass and kiln-formed glass. They have three full-service fabrication facilities located in Northeast Los Angeles, South Pasadena, and Alhambra. Since the founding of the company in 1897, the studio has been involved with the design, fabrication, and installation of hundreds of original glass and mosaic projects and historic restoration projects.
Judson Studios designs and builds glass artworks to create light, life, energy, and inspiration in the world. While respecting tradition, they embrace technology and design, and build for the future. They believe glass has an infinite potential that only needs drawing out through imagination and experimentation. Tapping into the technology of fused glass opens endless possibilities in the world of art, architecture, and design.
The studio was established by the painter and professor William Lees Judson and his three sons. From the start, Judson Studios has thrived by beautifying the booming metropolis of Los Angeles with work that represented the best in traditional and modern design. Today, Judson is the oldest family-run stained glass and art glass studio in America, still proudly offering an exquisite, handcrafted product made by local artisans.
Studio tour lasts approximately one hour.
