Hosted by the ICAA Florida Chapter
This course introduces students to the craft of plaster work and the process by which design transfers from Architect to Craftsman. This skill is vital for a successful dialogue between Architecture and the Building Arts.
Students will be instructed on the uses of plaster as well as its merits in expressing traditional elements. Through demonstration, prototypes, and overview of tools and media, students will understand not only the capabilities and properties of plaster, but be able to learn about it using a hands-on approach by pulling the plaster themselves.
All materials required will be provided by the instructor. Please dress in attire you don’t mind getting dirty along with closed toed shoes.
