The design of a home has a few moments to express the architectural style and sophistication. Knowing how these moments are detailed and constructed is crucial to getting a house right. This lecture proposes a new process for detailing traditional architecture that achieves several ideals not usually found in a single system. It lays out underlying principles of six families of architectural elements used in a broad range of traditional styles, contrasting them with how they are commonly built in error.
