Please join the Chicago-Midwest ICAA for our Annual Scholarship luncheon with special guest author, Thomas Kligerman, at the Casino Club. He will discuss his newest book, Shingle and Stone: Thomas Kligerman Houses.
All proceeds from this luncheon will go towards the Chicago-Midwest ICAA Scholarship Fund. The Chicago-Midwest ICAA Scholarship program is a design scholarship established to increase diversity within the architecture & design profession and assist individuals who demonstrate financial need by aiding a student or young professional. These funds are available to use for tuition and/or stipends for ICAA's Regional Intensive, Summer Studio or Drawing Tours and are meant for individuals with potential to contribute to the field of classical design.
Biography
Thomas Kligerman was raised in Connecticut and New Mexico, and spent years in France and England as a student. These experiences sparked his interest in the rich history of domestic architecture, gardens and landscapes. Before founding Kligerman Architecture & Design, Tom co-founded Ike Kligerman Barkley with John Ike and Joel Barkley. He began his architecture career at Robert A. M. Stern Architects and received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and his Master of Architecture from Yale School of Architecture. He is passionate about the design process, and loves studying and creating architectural models.
His work has been featured in renowned design magazines such as Architectural Digest, LUXE Magazine, Elle Décor, and Veranda. His firm, Ike Kligerman Barkley, has been recognized on the AD100 and LUXE Gold Lists. Tom serves on the boards of several charitable and educational institutions, including the Design Leadership Foundation and the Billion Oyster Project.
