Hosted by the ICAA Southern California Chapter
Tim Barber Architects was founded in 1994, focused on shaping the future of vernacular residential architecture. Based in Los Angeles, Tim’s team of designers and architects strive to elevate the lives of homeowners, community, and the planet through empathetic design and a commitment to energy self-reliance.
Tim earned a six-year Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati and expects to receive a Master’s degree in Historical & Sustainable Architecture from NYU London in May 2023. He is a founder and former President of the Southern California Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art; and has served on the National Board of the ICAA. In his many roles, Tim has helped build the highly regarded SCC education program. Through this work, and his support for the LA Conservancy, Tree People, Heal the Bay, and the U.S. Green Building Council-LA, Tim is focused on creating a better planet for all. Today, he works to instill the classical tenets of strength, utility, and beauty into his team’s work and enjoys traveling the world to draw, paint, and find new inspiration.
