Hosted by the Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter
Join the ICAA for an inside look at John Russell Pope’s National City Christian Church on Thomas Circle. Completed in 1930 of Indiana limestone with later side wings added in 1950, the design was influenced by James Gibbs’ St Martin-in-the-Fields church on Trafalgar Square. Stained glass windows depict the two presidents associated with the church; James Garfield and Lyndon Johnson (whose funeral was held at the church). Our tour will be led by Reverend Steven Baines.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website, or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
