The ICAA is very pleased to announce exclusive, members-only rolling tours of Bunny Williams’ home and gardens in Falls Village, Connecticut, taking place on Saturday July 29th from 10:30am - 1:00pm. Over several decades, Bunny Williams, a renowned interior designer and Board Member of the ICAA, has created a remarkable retreat in the New England countryside, where her incomparable skill at conjuring beautiful interiors, gardens, and environments is on full display. Starting with a lovely-yet-dilapidated white clapboard Federal-style farmhouse, Bunny set out renovating, restoring, and expanding the property, which today consists of the warm and welcoming main house, a refined barn featuring a windowed conservatory dining room, a light-filled studio, and of course an admirable array of both practical and decorative gardens, artfully shaped hedges, and even a whimsically rustic Ionic pool house.
Bunny Williams is a distinguished designer as well as an accomplished businesswoman, entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. Bunny’s knowledge and expertise have been instrumental in her success, starting from her 22-year apprenticeship with Parish-Hadley Associates, and continuing with her eponymous firm.
Bunny Williams Associates is renowned for balancing refined beauty, welcoming livable appeal, and attention to detail. While the creation of delightful rooms is Bunny’s passion, her firm’s success above all, is anchored in long-lasting and valued relationships with its clientele. The resulting commissions over three decades — many for repeat homeowners — are found across the United States and abroad, in city apartments, country estates and cottages; in the mountains and by the water. Over the course of her career, Bunny has written six books, drawing upon her wealth of practical design experience.
Bunny has been recognized by a number of institutions over the years including the AD 100 Hall of Fame (2018), the Elle Décor A-List, and the Fashion Group International Interior Design Award (2016). Additionally, Bunny has served on the Board of Directors of the ICAA since 2013.
Presented as part of the Bunny Mellon Curricula at the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. The ICAA is very grateful to the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation for its generous support of this program, along with the Continuing Education and Public Programs Sponsor Charlotte Moss, and the Curricula's Lead Sponsor Hollander Design Landscape Architects.
