For two days each October, Open House New York (OHNY) Weekend unlocks the doors of New York City’s most important buildings, offering an extraordinary opportunity to experience the city and meet the people who design, build, and preserve New York.
In partnership with OHNY, the ICAA will be opening its Cast Hall and sharing the remarkable history of its unique collection. The ICAA's collection includes casts from the most iconic buildings of architectural history, such as the Parthenon and Erectheion, commissioned throughout the 1880's and 90's by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Also on display are architectural elements from historic English estates, including Somerset House, Windsor Castle, and the Spencer House, lovingly crafted and donated to the ICAA by Dick Reid.
No registration is required. The Cast Hall is on the 6th floor of 20 West 44th Street and is accessible by elevator. Coffee and tea will be served.
