The MOSAICS and PALMETTES are comprised of young & emerging professionals, students, and enthusiast members of the ICAA FL Chapter who are dedicated to advancing the appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture, interior design, landscape design, urbanism, and the allied arts. The groups are designed to create and foster new and growing relationships with those who are starting out in the workforce and for those who are already established in the workforce. The goals of both groups are to assist young and emerging professionals in pursuing their career goals, opportunities, and business connections through social events, educational courses, and mentoring. This historical walking tour of Worth Avenue will be comprised of a small group outdoor lecture with instruction in the history, architectural style, planning and detail of Worth Avenue, Palm Beach, Florida. We will meet at the fountain in Via Amore and walk through the incredibly charming vias and courtyards of Worth Avenue.
Guided by local historian Rick Rose, participants will learn about Architect Addison Mizner’s development of South Florida and Palm Beach, as well as the materials, methods, design construction systems, products, finishes, and their application to the overall aesthetic of the courtyard spaces, urban plan, and building designs he developed.

Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) in architecture includes topics that relate to the structural integrity and soundness of a building or a building site.
