Hosted by the Luminaries, the Chicago-Midwest Chapter's Emerging Professionals
Please join the ICAA Chicago-Midwest Luminaries young professionals group for a guided walking tour through the historic Rosehill Cemetery.
The tour will be led by Adam Selzer, a Chicago author, historian, and ghost-investigator.
The tour will be approximately 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Rosehill is one of the oldest "garden cemeteries" in Chicago and is known for its roster of famous occupants. Mr. Selzer will dive deep into the backstories of the permanent residences of the Rosehill Cemetery, including Revolutionary War soldiers, a man who thwarted a Civil War insurrection, and the Victorian-era sculptures that pay homage to the deceased.
We will plan for a small reception with light snacks and refreshments at the residence of one of our members after the tour. Mr. Selzer will be invited and can answer further questions. Please wear weather-appropriate attire, or Halloween costumes if desired. The full moon will be waning, and a backyard bonfire will chase the spirits and the chill from the air.
12:30pm: Assembly location to be released at a later date and to ticket holders only
1:00 – 3:00pm: Tour Begins, Rosehill Cemetery Entrance (5800 N Ravenswood Ave.)
3:00 - 5:00pm: Autumnal Reception (reception location to be released at a later date and to ticket holders only)
