Enjoy a lively conversation between two remarkable local artists about the Southwest School of Art’s beloved daughter, Emily Edwards, her seminal book The Painted Walls of Mexico, and its connection to classical architecture through the Integration of Painting & Architecture.
Lionel Sosa will discuss the blending of art and architecture, and historical and stylistic aspects of the Mexican Muralists.
Nicola Vigini will discuss his work in the field and show specific examples of Alfredo Ramos Martinez and his collaborations with architect George Washington Smith in Santa Barbara.
