Hosted by the Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter
Columns & Coffee is a monthly social sketching excursion led by the L’Enfants, the emerging architects branch of the ICAA Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter. Anyone with an interest in sketching and/or connecting with other artists and architects are encouraged to attend. This month, we will be sketching the Renwick Gallery. Once known as the “American Louvre” and famously “dedicated to art,” the building has housed many different occupants and organizations since its completion in 1859. Today, it serves as the craft and decorative arts branch of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and its classical interiors create a dynamic juxtaposition with the contemporary art displayed therein.
Participants should be prepared to bring their own materials. The sketching will be for about 2.5-3 hours, but all are welcome to come and go as they please.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website, or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
