Hosted by the Washington Mid-Atlantic Chapter/L'Enfants Emerging Professionals Group
UPDATE: Due to likelihood of rain this event has been moved from the National Cathedral to Union Station.
The L’Enfants are excited to be back for our first event of 2021! We invite you to participate in socially-distant sketching at Union Station.
Union Station was designed by Daniel Burnham in the early 1900s and is considered a masterpiece of the American Beaux Arts period. The expansive building incorporates ancient Roman precedents such as the triumphal arch at the main entrance after that of Constantine in the Roman forum. Inside, the main waiting room is an interpretation of the Baths of Diocletian, and the superb coffered ceiling and sculptures were once seen by an estimated 200,000 travelers every day. Luckily for us, there won’t be as many people this Saturday, so please join at 10:15 am in the main hall for causal sketching, columns, and coffee.
Email Timothy Farina to RSVP or with any questions.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
