Hosted by the Southern California Chapter
We are delighted to invite ICAA Southern California members and friends for a guided visit of Chiarini Marble and Stone.
Spend Saturday March 25th with ICAA member and stone sculptor Steve M. Lustig at Santa Ana architectural stone fabricating facility, Chiarini. Home to an array of skilled craftspeople, we will enjoy various demonstrations, and classic stone sculpting techniques. We hope you can join us!
Chiarini Marble and Stone comprises a unique stone yard and creative factory, where esteemed master craftsmen and artisanal stone crafters have been fabricating architectural stone for residential applications for over 50 years. As artists themselves the Chiarini family have long supported the arts and artists in Santa Ana, California. Their story is forever entwined within the Santa Ana Arts District. Nothing shows their love and support more than the iconic Chiarini Fountain, which has welcomed thousands of visitors annually to the Downtown Santa Ana Artist Village.
Steven Lustig's masterful sculptures are born from a love for the human form and its natural motion. His work is founded in the ancient tradition of human anatomy, dating back to the Greeks, who believed the human form was the most important subject for artistic endeavor. The sculptures incorporate influences from antiquity and modernity, including the ancient Kouros figures, the Italian Renaissance developments of the Kouros, and the work of the Italian Futurists Umberto Boccioni and Giacomo Balla.
