Join the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Philadelphia Chapter for an exclusive private tour of amazing homes of Richmond's Monument Avenue. The event will begin at noon at the Branch Museum of Architecture, the former home of the Branch Family designed by John Russell Pope and built in 1919. Lunch will be provided, with a lecture by Calder Loth on the Branch Museum beginning at 12:30. Following the lecture, a brief presentation will be given by Gibson Worsham on the historic homes of the 2300 block of Monument Avenue. The group will depart the museum and walk down the 2300 block discussing the historic homes and accessing two or three private residences designed by Baskervill and William Lawrence Bottomley.
Given the nature of the access to private homes, the group is limited to 20 participates which will be divided into two groups for the home tours.
Upon the conclusion of the event interested participants are invited to meet at a local eatery.
