Join the ICAA for a tour of the newly renovated Folger Shakespeare Library and theater. The Folger’s 1932 building, designed by architect Paul Cret, is undergoing a major renovation to expand public space and enhance the experience for all who visit. Folger's modernized classical exterior and English Renaissance interior earned it a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. This designation was expanded in 2018 to include the original interior of the building. Reaching out to a wide range of visitors, the renovation and 12,000sf addition project by KieranTimberlake is adding new exhibition galleries, a learning lab, research spaces, social gathering spots, and increasing accessibility throughout the building.
Tour led by JD Berkeley, Associate Director of Architecture of the Folger Shakespeare Library.
