Charleston-based, award winning, Anderson Studio of Architecture and Design is seeking a talented and enthusiastic creative to join our team as a Senior Level Architect. The ideal individual will connect with our company’s core values and have a diverse background and fluency in the design language and elements of classical and historically inflected architectural styles, especially those heavily influencing domestic architecture.. Although we prefer eight years of experience in the profession; the abilities to lead projects, manage staff and positively interact with clients are critical.
This position will affect and participate in the growth of a talented, intimate design firm, with work based on principles of enduring craft, quality and beauty in architecture. We’re seeking diverse, loyal people who intend to be a permanent fixture within our studio of excellence driven peers.
The Senior Level Architect will be responsible for designing, interpreting, and coordinating large scope complex design projects through all phases of design development. This individual demonstrates creativity, foresight, and maturity in design judgment when anticipating and solving design complexities. Ability to communicate and present design ideas with confidence and passion is crucial. This position is supported and directed by the Studio Director and the Founder.
This position offers design direction, aids in overseeing design presentations, monitors project design development and support to ensure consistent and high-quality design. The Senior Level Architect should have extensive experience in all phases of design, including substantial experience in original creative and design management, collaborative execution of CDs, plus working knowledge of 3D BIM design software. Proficiency in Archicad or willingness to learn is a must.
